During a refurbishment of 40+ sash windows, there was a bay where a window seat had been constructed, and we noticed the second set of pulleys, Parting and Staff beads inside the sash window.
We had previously restored a set of three such shutters, and the clients were keen to see if we could do the same.
It was a relief to find that the original shutters were still housed inside the cavity, but were in a poor state and needed significant repairs.
However, the result was worth the effort.
